Future Echoes 2023

About the project

Future Echoes is an annual music festival in Norrköping, Sweden, focusing on electronic and experimental music. During the 2023 festival, I worked as the head sound engineer responsible for two of the festival’s stages.

My role

• FOH engineer on the main stage with capacity for 2,000 attendees
• System technician responsible for sound system setup and optimization
• Coordinator for the sound team on the smaller stage

Technical details

The festival used an L-Acoustics PA system on the main stage, with Allen & Heath dLive as FOH and monitor console. I was responsible for:

• System calibration and measurements with Smaart
• Mixing 15+ acts during the three-day festival
• Coordination with artists’ own sound engineers

Results

The festival received consistently positive feedback for sound quality, and several artists expressed particular appreciation for the monitor sound on stage.
